The goal of this site is to provide resources to help you know and love God through a relationship with Jesus Christ, to grow to become all that God created you to be, to find healing for past hurts, and to equip you to lead others to wholeness, healing, and fullness of life.
The site contains many of the writings and videos of Dave Bovenmyer as well as links to resources that he recommends. Dave is a follower of Jesus Christ, husband of 48 years, father of seven, grandfather of thirteen, and partially retired pastor of Stonebrook Community Church in Ames, Iowa. His ministry at Stonebrook includes counseling and coaching small groups.
Having been a pastor for fifty years in Iowa, Michigan, and Maryland, Dave has much on his heart to share. His expertise revolves around theology and psychology. His training has been largely local church based, combining academic learning with application. His counseling training includes training in Biblical Counseling, Transformation Prayer Ministry. and Internal Family Systems therapy.
